Field Oriented Control (FOC) algorithms generate the maximumpossible torque and efficiency across the entire speed range. AdvancedCurtis control provides superb drive "feel, improved speed regulationand increased gradeability.
Motors-Easily configured to work with any AC induction or PMAC motor.Improved motor auto-characterization setup allows simple on-truck pairingwith different induction motor types.In addition, a comprehensive library of induction and PMAC motor typesare conveniently stored in the controller memory.
Dual-Drive Functionality is standard, allowing correct control ofapplications featuring twin traction motors.This function ensures smoothand safe operation, minimal tire wear and correct load sharing between thetraction motors at all times.
Configurable CANbus connection allows communication withother CANbus enabled devices.They are CANopen compatible andprovide 24VCL-configurable CAN 'mailboxes'-10 more than earlierCurtis AC controllers.
Integrated System Controller-More than just a motor controller.they are also powerful system controllers.They feature a comprehensiveallocation of multi-function l/O pins for use as analog inputs, digitalinputs, contactor coil drivers and proportional valve drivers. In additionto this local l/0, these controllers can use VCL to map and configure theremote l/0 available on other CANbus devices, send messages to CANdisplays and thus control and monitor the entire system.
Application:
The Curtis Model 1232SE is intended for use as the traction controller on class 3 material handling "walkies" and other small industrial trucks. It is equally suitable as the pump controller for auxiliary hydraulic functions on larger industrial vehicles.
Example: controllers 1232SE-5321 are used as driving motor controller of Noblelift pallet truck PT20.
